What is the Scavio Costco API?
The Scavio Costco API is a REST API that returns Costco data as structured JSON. Costco has no public API; Scavio's 13 POST endpoints cover product search and detail, reviews, online versus in-warehouse prices, warehouse stock, gas prices, the member coupon book, deal feeds and a clearance finder, on costco.com and costco.ca.

Does Costco have a public API?

No. Costco does not offer a public API for product, price or inventory data. The Scavio Costco API fills that gap with 13 POST endpoints that return Costco data as structured JSON: product search and detail, reviews, online and in-warehouse prices, warehouse stock status, gas prices, the coupon book, deals and clearance.
Can I get Costco warehouse prices, not just online prices?

Yes. The prices endpoint returns the costco.com price next to the shelf price at up to 10 warehouses, and search, category and deals take a warehouse_id that adds that warehouse's price to every result. The two often differ: in our captured example, Kirkland Signature Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (2 L) was $20.99 online and $15.59 at the Manhattan warehouse.
Is there a Costco gas prices API?

Yes. The gas endpoint returns regular, premium and diesel prices at Costco gas stations near a US zip code or a latitude and longitude, or at specific warehouses you name, with each station's address, distance and hours. A location search costs 1 credit; by warehouse it is 1 credit per 5 warehouses.
Can I get the Costco coupon book as data?

Yes. The coupons endpoint returns the current member coupon book in one call: each offer's item number and product id, amount off, final price where stated, warehouse or online scope, limits, and the book's valid dates. The book we captured ran from 2026-09-21 to 2026-10-18 with 203 offers. It costs 1 credit and covers costco.com only.
What do Costco prices ending in .97 mean, and how does the clearance finder work?

Costco members read the cents of a warehouse shelf price as a code: .97 is clearance, .00 and .88 are manager markdowns, .49, .79 and .89 are special buys, and .99 is regular price. Costco does not publish these codes, so treat them as a strong hint. The clearance endpoint scans a query or category at one warehouse and returns the items whose shelf price carries the codes you choose; only items Costco lists online are covered.
Which Costco countries are supported?

The United States (costco.com) and Canada (costco.ca) on every endpoint except the coupon book, which is US only. Search, product and the warehouse locator also cover Costco in the United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, with keyword search, sort and paging.
Does the availability endpoint return stock quantities?

No. Costco reports a stock status, not a unit count, so the availability endpoint returns in_stock, low_stock, out_of_stock or not_available for each warehouse, plus the status of warehouse pickup and same-day delivery where Costco offers them.
How much does a Costco request cost?

Most Costco calls cost 1 credit. The multi-warehouse endpoints are priced by size: prices costs 1 credit for up to 9 warehouses and 2 for 10, availability costs 1 credit per 5 warehouses, and gas by warehouse costs 1 credit per 5. On costco.ca the warehouse locator and gas by location cost 2. New accounts get 50 free credits on signup, with no card required. Paid plans start at $30 per month for 7,000 credits.
What is the difference between a Costco item number and a product id?

The item number is the number on the shelf tag and the receipt; the product id is the id of the costco.com product page. Search and product return both. Product, prices and availability accept either, or a costco.com product URL; the reviews endpoint needs the product id.
How fresh is the data?

Every request reads Costco live at the moment you call it, so prices, stock status, gas prices and the coupon book reflect what Costco shows at that time. Nothing is served from a nightly snapshot.
Can I look up many Costco products at once?

Yes. The product endpoint takes up to 20 item numbers or product ids in one call for 1 credit on costco.com and costco.ca, and the prices endpoint takes up to 20 items across up to 10 warehouses in one call.
Which languages and tools are supported?

Every endpoint is a plain HTTPS POST with a JSON body, so any language works. Scavio also ships Python and JavaScript SDKs, a remote MCP server at mcp.scavio.dev for AI agents, and an n8n community node, all on the same API key.
Is using Costco data legal?

Scavio returns publicly available Costco data and does not access member accounts or order history. You remain responsible for how you use the data, including compliance with Costco's terms. Talk to your own counsel for your specific use case.
