What is the Scavio HEB API?
The Scavio HEB API is a REST API that returns HEB grocery data as structured JSON. Can I check if an HEB product is SNAP/EBT eligible?

Yes. Every product in the search results and product detail response includes an is_ebt_snap field that tells you whether the item qualifies for SNAP/EBT. In our captured results, both Central Market Organics Whole Milk and Horizon Organic Whole Milk returned is_ebt_snap: true.
Does the search return aisle locations?

Yes. Search results include a product_location field with the aisle and section. In the captured response, items showed locations like 'In Dairy on the Back Wall, A22'. Product detail returns the same field.
What data does the product detail endpoint return?

The product endpoint returns the full product page: name, brand, price, sale status, unit pricing, UPC, availability, SNAP eligibility, description, ingredients, nutrition facts with serving size and calories, in-store location, similar products and any active coupons.
Can I find HEB stores near me?

Yes. POST a ZIP code or city name to /api/v1/heb/stores and you get back HEB locations sorted by distance, each with store number, name, full address, phone, hours for every day of the week, pharmacy availability, fulfillment channels and a store URL. In our captured response, searching ZIP 78204 returned the Nogalitos H-E-B at 0.83 miles.
How much does an HEB request cost?

What is the is_own_brand field?

HEB sells products under its own store brands: H-E-B, Central Market and Hill Country Fare. The is_own_brand boolean in search and product results flags these, so you can filter or analyze HEB's private-label assortment separately from national brands.
How are prices formatted?

Prices are returned in cents as integers. A price of 698 means $6.98. The unit_price field is a formatted string like '$0.05/oz'. When an item is on sale, is_on_sale is true and list_price carries the regular price.
Which languages and tools are supported?

Every endpoint is a plain HTTPS POST with a JSON body, so any language works. Scavio also ships Python and JavaScript SDKs, a remote MCP server at mcp.scavio.dev for AI agents, and an n8n community node, all on the same API key.
