Mercado Libre API

Mercado Libre has an official developer API, but it is built around OAuth 2.0: you register an application in Mercado Libre's DevCenter, a Mercado Libre user authorizes it, and calls carry that user's access token, which expires after six hours and has to be refreshed. It is designed for sellers and integrators working with their own accounts. The Scavio Mercado Libre API returns public listing data with one API key and no app or OAuth flow: search, product, reviews, questions and best sellers, 5 endpoints at 2 credits each (reviews 1).

A 403 comes from Mercado Libre's official API, and its developer documentation is the place to diagnose a specific refusal. What applies to every call: as of October 2026, that API requires an OAuth application registered in Mercado Libre's DevCenter and an access token from a Mercado Libre user who has authorized that app. If what you need is public listing data, the Scavio Mercado Libre API needs one API key and no app or user token: search, product, reviews, questions and best sellers for public listings in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia. What the official API requires, and a working no-OAuth example with real output.

Mexico (mx), Brazil (br, Mercado Livre), Argentina (ar) and Colombia (co). Search, product, reviews and questions work in all four; best sellers work in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia but not Brazil. Chile is not supported. For product, reviews and questions the country comes from the id prefix (MLM Mexico, MLB Brazil, MLA Argentina, MCO Colombia) or the URL.

Product, reviews and questions take any mercadolivre.com.br URL or MLB id. If you want to extrair dados do Mercado Livre without the official API, this is the same one-key call as every other country. Two differences to know: search rows usually show the Pix price, about 5% below the regular price the product endpoint returns, and the Brazil product endpoint often returns the rating average and count but not the star distribution. Best sellers is not available for Brazil.

Only as the range Mercado Libre shows. sold_quantity_min is a lower bound (1000 for "+1000 vendidos"), and sold_label carries the text as shown. Mercado Libre shows sales as ranges, so no exact count is returned. In the captured iPhone 15 search the buckets ran from 25 to 10,000.

Prices come in the site's local currency: MXN, BRL, ARS or COP, with the currency on every row. Each listing carries price, original_price and discount_percent when it is on sale, and the installment plan (count, amount and an interest_free flag for meses sin intereses or parcelas sem juros). Search filters by min_price, max_price and min_discount, and sorts by price ascending or descending, which makes it a practical API for Mercado Libre prices (api mercado libre precios). In Brazil, the price on a search row is usually the Pix price, about 5% below the regular price; the product endpoint returns the regular price and usually lists the Pix offer under promotions. On 11 October 2026 an iPhone 15 showed R$4,009 in search and R$4,220.84 on the product endpoint.

Yes. Reviews returns 15 per page at 1 credit, filterable by star rating, with text, exact date, likes, photos and the country each review was written in; translated reviews keep the original text. Questions returns buyer questions with the seller's answers and the answer date. Mercado Libre shows no date for the question itself, so none is returned. Review totals and the star distribution come with the product endpoint (in Brazil it often returns no distribution). Catalog reviews pool across countries: on 11 October 2026, 10 of the 12 reviews on the first page for the Mexican iPhone 15 product were written in Brazil and translated, with the Portuguese original kept.

Yes, in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. Best sellers returns the ranked top 20 in a category with price, discount, installments, rating and units sold. Take the category_id from a search or product response; its prefix must match the country. Brazil's best-sellers list is not available.

About 48 listings per page and up to 42 pages, so about 2,000 results per query. Each response carries total and total_pages. To go deeper, slice the query by price band, condition or seller and run one search per slice. Sort is relevance or price only; Mercado Libre offers no newest or best-selling sort.

Yes. Search takes a seller_id (the numeric id the product endpoint returns for the buy-box seller) and combines it with a query, every filter, sort and page. A seller_nickname returns the seller's first page of listings plus their seller_id. Only public listing data is returned, never seller contact details.

Search, product, questions and best sellers cost 2 credits per call; reviews cost 1. On the Growth plan billed yearly ($2 per 1,000 credits) that is $0.004 per search page of about 48 listings, or about $0.08 per 1,000 listings, and $0.002 per page of 15 reviews. A product, item or seller that does not exist returns a 404 and is billed; temporary failures are not. New accounts get 50 free credits with no card, and paid plans start at $30 per month for 7,000 credits.

Scavio returns publicly available Mercado Libre data: what anyone can see on a public Mercado Libre page, such as listings, prices, reviews and answered questions. It does not return buyer or seller contact details or anything behind a login.
