For Mercado Libre data inside an app, a price monitor or an AI agent, start with Scavio's Mercado Libre API: one key, no OAuth, structured search, product, reviews, questions and best sellers for Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia, at 2 credits per call (reviews 1). One search returns about 48 listings, about $0.08 per 1,000 listings on the Growth plan billed yearly. If you need more than those four countries, Apify actors cover up to 18 Mercado Libre sites and charge per result. If you would rather parse pages yourself, Oxylabs and ScrapingBee fit. For Brazil only, GeckoAPI is a local option.
We build Scavio, so read this with that bias in mind. Every Scavio number below comes from live calls we made on October 11, 2026, re-checked that afternoon (where a figure moved, it is the re-check value). Every competitor detail was read off the vendor's own page or the Apify store that day; where a figure was not published, we left it out.

1. Scavio: search, product, reviews and Q&A in one API
Scavio's Mercado Libre API has five POST endpoints. Search takes a keyword, a seller id or a seller nickname, with condition, price range, minimum discount, free shipping, Full fulfillment, official stores and interest-free installment filters, sorted by relevance or price. Product returns the buy-box seller with reputation level and seller tier, price, list price, installments, stock, shipping, variations, specs and the rating breakdown. Reviews, questions and best sellers cover the rest.
What we measured on October 11, 2026:
- The same search in four countries, four calls. "iphone 15 128gb", condition new, returned 68 listings in Mexico, 61 in Brazil, 83 in Argentina and 45 in Colombia, each row with price, list price, discount, installments, shipping flags and a sponsored flag. Free shipping covered 90 to 95% of the first page in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina (76% in Colombia); Full fulfillment ranged from 44% in Mexico to 4% in Colombia; Brazil showed 12 sponsored rows of 60. The worked example is in Mercado Libre API returns 403?.
- Price monitoring that catches real gaps. The cheapest new iPhone 15 128 GB with free shipping in Mexico was 11,709 MXN, 25% below the 15,690.53 MXN on Apple's own store listing. Earlier the same day it was 11,904 MXN, and the listing shown on that model's catalog card had changed within an hour.
- Reviews across countries. On the Mexican iPhone 15 page, 10 of the first 12 reviews were written in Brazil; each comes back translated with the Portuguese original and an exact date. 1 credit per page of up to 15.
- Questions with answers. One call returned 20 buyer questions on Apple's listing, all 20 answered, with answer dates from June to October 2026.
- Best sellers by category. The top 20 phones in Mexico had a median price of 3,989 MXN, led by a Xiaomi Poco M7 at 3,889 MXN with 10,000+ sold. No new iPhone made the list.
- Calls took 0.7 to 8.3 seconds, with one Brazil product call at 31 seconds. Fine for jobs and agents, not for a user waiting on every keystroke.
Honest limits: four countries only (no Chile); about 2,000 results per query; units sold come as ranges ("+1000 vendidos"), never exact; only the buy-box seller on a product, not every seller; Brazil has no best-sellers list and its product responses often carry no star breakdown; relevance search returns look-alikes, so filter titles. Amazon (including Mexico and Brazil) and Walmart (including Mexico) are on the same key, so a cross-marketplace price comparison needs no second vendor.
2. Mercado Libre's own API: for sellers and integrators
Mercado Libre's developer API is free and covers listings, orders, shipping, questions and more, for an app that a Mercado Libre user has authorized. Per its authentication guide, you create the app in DevCenter (an app ID and a secret key), run the OAuth flow, send the user's access token on every call and refresh it every 6 hours. It is the right tool for managing your own store. Without a token, search and item calls returned 403 Forbidden in our October 11 test, and developers report 403 on other sellers' items and on search even with one; we cover what we could verify in why the Mercado Libre API returns 403.
3. Apify actors: the most options, priced per result
The Apify store lists over 100 Mercado Libre actors. The most used this month:
- sourabhbgp/mercadolibre-scraper: search, products, reviews, Q&A and sellers in 18 countries, "up to 2,000 search results per query"; 188 users in the last 30 days. Tiered pricing: $0.001 to $0.002 per search row, $0.002 to $0.005 per product, review or seller result, and $0.005 per search run.
- karamelo/mercadolivre-scraper-brasil-portugues and its Spanish twin: 182 and 171 users in 30 days, $0.0012 to $0.005 per result by tier.
- piotrv1001/mercado-libre-listings-scraper: 18 sites, $0.002 per listing and $0.025 per detail page.
- memo23/mercadolibre-scraper: seven countries including Chile, Uruguay and Peru; $0.004 per product, $0.001 per review, $0.005 per run.
Choose an actor when you need a country Scavio does not cover, or a dataset file per scheduled run. Each actor is maintained by its author, so pin the one you test; we have not tested their country claims.
4. Oxylabs: parse it yourself, at scale
Oxylabs' Mercadolibre Scraper API gathers "data about products, listings, and sellers", with parsing through its own parser or raw HTML. It ranks first in Mexico for "extraer datos mercado libre". New accounts get $5 toward any product, and its general rate starts at $0.50 per 1,000 results; the page does not list a Mercado Libre-specific price or country list. Choose it when your team already runs Oxylabs and wants to own the parsing.
5. ScrapingBee: your own extraction rules
ScrapingBee's MercadoLibre scraper returns product pages as JSON from CSS or AI extraction rules ("SKU, price, ratings, seller, stock state, condition, shipping, and image gallery"), or as Markdown for an LLM. It gives 1,000 free credits with no card; plans run from $49 a month for 250,000 credits. The page does not say how many credits a Mercado Libre request costs. Choose it when you want one generic scraper you configure per site.
6. Unwrangle: per-record pricing
Unwrangle lists Mercado Livre search, sellers, product details and reviews APIs, where "each record in the results costs 1 credit". Plans start at $99 a month for 100,000 credits. Choose it if per-record billing fits your volumes; the page does not state country coverage.
7. GeckoAPI: a Brazilian option
GeckoAPI is a Brazilian company selling Mercado Livre search, product and review data for price monitoring, with current and reference price, availability, stock and seller fields. It starts you with 100 credits and no card. Choose it for Brazil-only monitoring with local support in Portuguese.
For one-off exports without code, no-code tools such as Octoparse publish Mercado Libre templates, and open-source scripts on GitHub are free if you maintain them.
Pick by the job
If you manage your own store, use Mercado Libre's API. If you need Chile, Peru or one of the other 14 sites, pick an Apify actor. If you want to parse pages yourself, Oxylabs or ScrapingBee fit. If your product, agency or agent acts on Mercado Libre data across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia, such as competitor price checks, Full and free-shipping share by category, review mining or best-seller tracking, keeping that pipeline running is the ongoing work, and that is what Scavio's Mercado Libre API handles: about 48 listings per 2-credit search, from $2 per 1,000 credits on the Growth plan billed yearly. A daily check on 100 products is about 6,000 credits a month. Get 50 free credits, no card, or try the endpoints in the playground.

Frequently asked questions
Does Mercado Libre have an API?
Yes, but it is built for sellers and integrators. As of October 2026, calls need an OAuth application registered in Mercado Libre's DevCenter and an access token from a Mercado Libre user who authorized it, valid for 6 hours. In our October 11, 2026 test, search and item calls without a token returned 403 Forbidden. For public marketplace data, third-party APIs such as Scavio, Apify actors, Oxylabs, ScrapingBee, Unwrangle and GeckoAPI return it without OAuth.
What is the best Mercado Libre scraper API?
It depends on the job. Scavio returns structured search, product, reviews, questions and best sellers for Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia with one key at 2 credits a call. Apify actors cover up to 18 Mercado Libre sites and price per result. Oxylabs and ScrapingBee suit teams that want to parse pages themselves. GeckoAPI is a Brazil-focused option.
Is there a free Mercado Libre scraper?
Open-source scripts on GitHub are free if you run and maintain them. Among hosted options, Scavio gives 50 free credits on signup (25 searches of about 48 listings), ScrapingBee 1,000 free credits, GeckoAPI 100 starting credits and Oxylabs a $5 welcome credit. On Apify's tiered actors, the free tier pays the highest per-result price (for example $0.005 per result on karamelo's actors, falling to $0.0012 on higher tiers).
Can I scrape Mercado Livre in Brazil with the same API?
With Scavio, yes: pass country br for Mercado Livre with prices in BRL and the same fields as Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. Brazil has no best-sellers list, and Brazil product responses often carry the rating average and count but not the star breakdown. Brazilian search cards usually show the Pix price, about 5% below the regular price the product endpoint returns.
How many results can a Mercado Libre search return?
Mercado Libre shows up to 42 pages per query, about 2,000 results. Scavio returns about 48 listings per page; the Apify actor sourabhbgp/mercadolibre-scraper also advertises up to 2,000 search results per query. To go deeper, split the query by price band, condition or seller.
