How to Check Micro Center Stock by Store With an API: Unit Counts, Open Box and Every Store

To check Micro Center stock by store programmatically, use Scavio's Micro Center API. POST /api/v1/microcenter/search with a query and a 3-digit store_id returns up to 96 products with that store's stock label, the unit count as a number and any open-box units; /product adds each open-box unit and a yes or no for every store, and /stores lists all 31 store ids. Search and product cost 2 credits, about $0.004 on the Growth plan billed yearly.

Micro Center has no public API, and its website shows a unit count only for the store you have selected. These five steps get the same numbers for any store, from code.

Step 1: Find the store id

Bash
curl -s https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/microcenter/stores \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SCAVIO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"state": "MA"}'

On November 2, 2026 the full list returned 31 stores in 20 states. The Massachusetts row, as captured:

JSON
{
  "store_id": "121",
  "name": "Cambridge",
  "city": "Cambridge",
  "state": "MA",
  "address": "730 Memorial Dr",
  "zip": "02139",
  "url": "https://www.microcenter.com/site/stores/Cambridge.aspx"
}

The list is a reference table, so the call answers instantly and you can cache it. Texas has three stores, Dallas (131), Houston (155) and Austin (215); Chicago is 151.

Step 2: Search at that store

Bash
curl -s https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/microcenter/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SCAVIO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"query": "rtx 5070", "store_id": "121", "include_out_of_stock": true}'

This returned 96 products a page from 1,096 matches in 3.9 s. One row, as captured (image trimmed):

JSON
{
  "position": 7,
  "sponsored": false,
  "product_id": "690048",
  "sku": "800102",
  "name": "ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti PRIME Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR7 PCIe 5.0 Graphics Card",
  "brand": "ASUS",
  "category": "Graphics Cards",
  "price": 1449.99,
  "original_price": null,
  "url": "https://www.microcenter.com/product/690048/asus-nvidia-geforce-rtx-5070-ti-prime-overclocked-triple-fan-16gb-gddr7-pcie-50-graphics-card",
  "highlights": [],
  "stock": {
    "label": "25+ IN STOCK",
    "quantity": 25,
    "quantity_capped": true,
    "in_stock": true,
    "not_carried": false
  },
  "open_box": null,
  "rebate": null,
  "in_store_only": true
}

stock.label is Micro Center's own text and quantity is the number read from it. Micro Center shows at most 25, so quantity_capped: true means 25 or more. Narrow a search with category (518 is Graphics Cards) and order it with sort, for example price_low.

Step 3: Tell sold out from not carried

Without include_out_of_stock, search lists only what the store has. With it, you also get rows the store has run out of, which is what a restock alert watches. The same card at the Chicago store, captured in the same minute:

JSON
{
  "label": "SOLD OUT",
  "quantity": null,
  "quantity_capped": false,
  "in_stock": false,
  "not_carried": false
}

SOLD OUT means Chicago stocks the card and has none left. A row with not_carried: true means the store does not sell the item at all, so it will not restock. Search matches loosely, as on microcenter.com, so filter rows on category or name before you alert.

Step 4: Open the product for open box and every store

Bash
curl -s https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/microcenter/product \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SCAVIO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"product_id": "702203", "store_id": "195"}'

Product 702203 is an ASUS RTX 5070 Ti ProArt at $1,599.99. At the Santa Clara store, search had shown "open_box": {"count": 1, "from_price": 1439.96}; product lists the unit itself:

JSON
{
  "store_id": "195",
  "name": "Santa Clara",
  "city": "Santa Clara",
  "state": "CA",
  "stock": {
    "label": "6 NEW IN STOCK",
    "quantity": 6,
    "quantity_capped": false,
    "in_stock": true,
    "not_carried": false
  },
  "open_box": [
    {
      "id": "25184",
      "condition": "INCOMPLETE: AS IS",
      "warranty": "REMAINING MANUFACTURER WARRANTY APPLIES",
      "terms": "Available In-Store Only SEE WARRANTY & SUPPORT FOR DET",
      "price": 1439.96
    }
  ]
}

That is selected_store, trimmed of the street address and ZIP. The same response carries stores_in_stock, a yes or no for all 31 stores plus the web store: this card was in stock at 29 stores and the web store, and not at Austin or Dallas. Product also returns the SKU, MPN, UPC, 38 spec rows, the rating, the review count and the 10 most recent reviews.

Step 5: Check several stores at once

The yes or no list tells you where to look; the count comes from one call per store. Looping step 2 over 11 stores took 1.9 to 4.4 s a call and 22 credits. The RTX 5070 Ti PRIME from step 2 was at the same $1,449.99 everywhere, with 25 or more in Cambridge, 16 in Santa Clara, 1 in Denver and none in Chicago or Houston. Of the 45 RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti cards those 11 stores all carried, 37 were sold out at one or more of them. The chart and a comparison of every option are in the best Micro Center stock APIs.

All three endpoints

EndpointWhat it returnsCredits
/api/v1/microcenter/searchUp to 96 products a page at one store: price, original price, the store's stock label and count, open-box count and lowest price2
/api/v1/microcenter/productOne product at one store: SKU, MPN, UPC, specs, rating, 10 recent reviews, the store's count, each open-box unit and a yes or no for every store2
/api/v1/microcenter/storesAll 31 stores with store_id, city, state, address, ZIP and store page URL1

Leave out store_id and the web store (029) answers, which lists shippable items only and gives a shipping estimate rather than a count, so always pass a physical store for in-store stock. An unknown product id returns a 404 and is not charged.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check Micro Center inventory?

On microcenter.com, select a store and the product page shows that store's label, such as "12 IN STOCK" or "SOLD OUT". To check it from code, call Scavio's /api/v1/microcenter/search or /product with the store's 3-digit store_id. The response carries the label, the count as a number and an in_stock flag.

What is the difference between Sold Out and Not Carried at Micro Center?

Sold out means the store stocks the item but has none left; not carried means that store does not sell it at all. Scavio keeps the two apart: a sold-out row has the label SOLD OUT and in_stock false, and a not-carried row has not_carried true. A restock alert should watch only the sold-out rows.

Can I see which Micro Center stores have an item?

Yes. A product call returns stores_in_stock, a yes or no for every Micro Center store plus the web store. On November 2, 2026 an ASUS RTX 5070 Ti PRIME was in stock at 27 stores and the web store, and out at Chicago, Yonkers, Houston and Fairfax. For the count at another store, call product again with that store_id.

How do I find Micro Center open-box items at a store?

Search at the store returns open_box on each row with the number of open-box units and the lowest open-box price. Product at the same store lists each unit with its id, condition, warranty, terms and price. Open box differs from store to store, so check each store you care about.

How much does it cost to check Micro Center stock with Scavio?

Search and product cost 2 credits each, about $0.004 on the Growth plan billed yearly, and the store list costs 1. One search returns up to 96 products with the store's count, so checking a category at 5 stores is 10 credits. New accounts get 50 free credits with no card.
