What is the Scavio Micro Center API?

The Scavio Micro Center API is a REST API that returns Micro Center data as structured JSON for the store you pick. Micro Center has no public API. Its 3 POST endpoints cover search with per-store stock counts, product detail with open-box units, specs and reviews, and the store list, at 2 credits per search or product call.

The Micro Center data buyers actually need

How many are on the shelf at my store, what open-box costs, and which other stores have it.

Stock counts at one store

POST /api/v1/microcenter/search

Search Micro Center at the store you choose: every result carries that store's stock as printed ("4 IN STOCK", "25+ IN STOCK") plus a parsed quantity. Our Dallas capture of "rtx 5070" returned 188 results, 96 per page.

Open-box units and prices

POST /api/v1/microcenter/product

Search shows how many open-box units a store holds and the lowest open-box price; product lists each unit with its id, condition, warranty, terms and price. 11 of the 96 results in our Dallas capture had open-box units.

Which stores have it

POST /api/v1/microcenter/product

One product call returns an in-stock flag for every Micro Center store plus the web store. Our RTX 5070 capture was in stock at Sharonville, Dallas and Fairfax, and at the web store.

Full spec table and reviews

POST /api/v1/microcenter/product

SKU, MPN, UPC, every spec row in Micro Center's own groups (37 rows on a graphics card), breadcrumbs with category ids, rating, review count and up to 10 recent reviews.

All 3 Micro Center API endpoints

Every route is a POST, returns JSON, and takes the same API key. Credits are charged per successful call.

Why not the official Micro Center API?

Micro Center has no public API for product, price or store inventory data.

Micro Center, without an API

  • No public API or self-serve developer key for products, prices or stock
  • Stock is shown for one store at a time, so every check is store-specific
  • Open-box units and their prices sit inside each product page, store by store
  • Search results and spec tables have no export

Scavio Micro Center API

  • One API key, issued at signup, with no Micro Center account
  • Any store's stock count and open-box units by store_id
  • An in-stock flag for every store in a single product call
  • Spec tables as rows and up to 96 search results per call
  • Same JSON envelope as every other Scavio platform

Scavio returns publicly available data only, and never signs in as a Micro Center customer.

How to get Micro Center data as JSON

  1. 1

    Get an API key

Sign up for a Scavio account and copy your key from the dashboard. You get 50 credits free on signup, with no card required and no Micro Center account.

  2. 2

    Pick a store

Send {"state": "TX"} to https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/microcenter/stores with an Authorization: Bearer header. Each store comes back with its 3-digit store_id, address and ZIP.

  3. 3

Search and check stock at that store

Pass the store_id with a query or category to /api/v1/microcenter/search, or with a product id to /api/v1/microcenter/product. Stock counts and open-box units in the response are that store's.

Micro Center API FAQ

Does Micro Center have a public API?

+

No. Micro Center does not offer a public API for product, price or store inventory data. The Scavio Micro Center API fills that gap with 3 POST endpoints that return microcenter.com data as structured JSON: search, product detail and the store list.

What is the Scavio Micro Center API?

+

It is a REST API that returns public Micro Center data as structured JSON for the store you choose. Search returns prices and the store's stock counts, product returns specs, open-box units, reviews and an in-stock flag for every store, and stores returns the 3-digit store ids. Search and product cost 2 credits, stores 1.

Can I check Micro Center stock at a specific store?

+

Yes. Pass a 3-digit store_id to search or product and stock is that store's: the label as Micro Center prints it, a parsed quantity and in_stock. Our capture of the Gigabyte RTX 5070 WINDFORCE SFF at Dallas (131) read "4 NEW IN STOCK", quantity 4.

Why does stock say 25+?

+

Micro Center caps the count it displays at 25. The API returns quantity 25 with quantity_capped true in that case, which means 25 or more, not exactly 25. Below 25 the quantity is the store's count as shown. 11 of the 96 results in our Dallas "rtx 5070" capture were capped.

What happens if I leave out store_id?

+

The web store (029) answers, which lists shippable items only, so results are fewer than at a physical store and the stock label can be a shipping estimate rather than a count. For in-store stock and open-box units, always pass a store_id.

How do I find a Micro Center store id?

+

POST to /api/v1/microcenter/stores, optionally with a 2-letter state. It returns every store with its store_id, name, city, state, street address, ZIP and store page URL for 1 credit. There are 31 stores across 20 states; Texas has Austin (215), Houston (155) and Dallas (131).

Can I see which Micro Center stores have a product?

+

Yes. The product response includes stores_in_stock, an in_stock flag for every store plus the web store. It is a yes or no per store, not a count; for the count at another store, call product again with that store_id.

Does the API return open-box items?

+

Yes. Search returns open_box with the number of open-box units at the store and the lowest open-box price, for example 1 unit from $1,304.96 on an RTX 5070 Ti listed new at $1,449.99. Product lists each unit with its id, condition, warranty, terms and price. Open-box units differ from store to store.

Does the API return Micro Center reviews?

+

Product returns the rating, the review count and up to 10 of the most recent customer reviews shown on the product page, each with author, rating, date and text. Our capture had 105 reviews and returned the latest 10. Older reviews are not available, and search results carry no rating.

Can I search a Micro Center category?

+

Yes. Pass category as an id such as 518 (Graphics Cards), as a "category:Graphics Cards|518" value or as a microcenter.com listing URL, alone or with a query. Product breadcrumbs carry the category ids for every level.

Do Micro Center prices differ by store?

+

In our checks the price was the same at every store; stock and open-box units are what vary. Prices are in dollars as decimals, and original_price is set on search results when the item is marked down.

Do I need to build a Micro Center scraper?

+

No. The API returns clean JSON with stock already parsed, spec tables as rows and open-box units as a list, so there is no page parsing to write or maintain. You send a POST with a query and a store_id.

How much does a Micro Center request cost?

+

Search and product cost 2 credits each, and the store list costs 1. An unknown product id returns a 404 and is not charged. New accounts get 50 free credits on signup, one time, with no card required. Paid plans start at $30 per month for 7,000 credits.

How fresh is the data?

+

Search and product fetch live from Micro Center at the moment you call them, and nothing is cached. Each response carries fetched_at, the time the data was retrieved. The store list is a reference table updated when a store opens or closes.

Which languages and tools are supported?

+

Every endpoint is a plain HTTPS POST with a JSON body, so any language works. Scavio also ships Python and JavaScript SDKs, a remote MCP server at mcp.scavio.dev for AI agents, and an n8n community node, all on the same API key.

Is using Micro Center data legal?

+

Scavio returns publicly available Micro Center data and does not access accounts or order history. You remain responsible for how you use the data, including compliance with Micro Center's terms. Talk to your own counsel for your specific use case.
