6 Best Google Maps Lead Data APIs in 2026: Scavio Gets the Phone Without a Second Call

For a Google Maps lead list built in code, start with Scavio's Google Maps API. One POST /api/v2/google/maps/search call returns 20 businesses with name, phone, website, address, rating, review count and category, so the phone number arrives with the search and there is no per-business detail call to pay for. In our test it returned a phone for 505 of 515 Phoenix businesses (98%) across five categories. A search page is 1 credit, and Scavio starts from $2 per 1,000 requests on the Growth plan billed yearly, about $0.12 per 1,000 phone leads at the rate we measured.

Google's own route is the Places API (New). It returns phone numbers too, but asking for one bills the request at its Enterprise tier, Text Search stops at 60 results per query, and its policies let you store place IDs indefinitely while ruling out caching or storing the rest beyond the allowed exceptions. A CRM full of phone numbers is the thing those terms are written against.

We build Scavio, so read this with that bias in mind. Every Scavio number below comes from live calls we made on October 27, 2026. Every competitor price was read off the vendor's own page or public pricing data that day, and where a detail was not published we say so. The screenshots are each vendor's own page, captured the same day.

How many Google Maps leads come with a phone number?

A lead list lives or dies on the phone column, so we measured it. We ran five categories in Phoenix, Arizona through every page Scavio's Maps search allows (start 0 to 100, six pages, six credits each) from the same map center, then de-duplicated by place_id.

Stacked bar chart: of 515 unique Phoenix businesses from six pages of Google Maps search per category, 505 (98%) had a phone number and 449 had both a phone and a website. Dentists 98 of 99 with both; roofers 94 of 100; hair salons 90 of 102; Mexican restaurants 94 of 109; auto repair shops 73 of 105, with 31 listing a phone but no website.

Thirty searches returned 600 rows and 515 unique businesses. 505 of them (98%) had a phone on the search row, 457 (89%) a website, 449 (87%) both, and 509 a street address. Only 2 had neither a phone nor a website. The category changes the picture: 98 of 99 dentists had both, while 31 of 105 auto repair shops (30%) listed a phone and no website. For an agency that sells websites, that phone-only slice is the list.

Three more things the captures showed that matter when you count leads:

  • 85 of the 600 rows were repeats across page boundaries, so de-duplicate on place_id before you report lead counts.
  • 37 businesses carried unclaimed_listing: true, which marks a Google Business Profile the owner has not claimed, a direct prospect list for local SEO work.
  • 120 is the ceiling for one search. start: 120 is rejected with a 400. Running "auto repair shops in Phoenix, AZ" from a center 18 km north returned 20 businesses, all 20 new to the first 105; to cover a metro, split it into several centers.

1. Scavio: phone, website and address in the search call

Scavio Google Maps API page, captured October 27, 2026

Scavio's Google Maps API is 4 POST endpoints. For lead lists, two matter, measured on October 27:

  • Maps search: 20 businesses a page with title, phone, website, address, rating, reviews, type and types, operating_hours, gps_coordinates, place_id, a book_online link where one exists and the unclaimed_listing flag. The ll parameter sets the map center. 1 credit. Median response 6.7 seconds across our 30 searches.
  • Place detail: one business by place_id or data_cid, adding the plus code, the 1-5 star rating_summary and review snippets. For Simon's Auto Repair, a 4.7-star shop with 169 reviews, it confirmed the listing is unclaimed and has no website. 1 credit.
  • Reviews and geo-grid rank cover reputation and local-SEO work on the same key.

What it does not do: there are no emails, because the listing has none. The slowest of our 30 searches took 52 seconds, so set a generous timeout. The $2-per-1,000 rate is the Growth plan billed yearly; pay as you go is $0.01 a credit. And like every tool that reads Maps search, it stops at about 120 results per query. How to get Google Maps business leads walks through each call with captured responses.

2. Google Places API (New): official, priced by field

Google Maps Platform pricing page, captured October 27, 2026

The official Text Search returns up to 20 places a page and "a maximum of 60 results across all pages". The fields you request set the price: phone, website, rating, review count and opening hours all trigger Text Search Enterprise, which the price list puts at $35 per 1,000 requests with 1,000 free a month; Pro is $32 and Place Details Enterprise $20. At 20 places a request, 1,000 businesses with phones is 50 requests, about $1.75 past the free tier. Choose it when you display places inside your product and keep only place IDs. For a list you will store, export and call from, the storage policy is the constraint, not the price.

3. Outscraper: no-code exports with email enrichment

Outscraper pricing page, captured October 27, 2026

Outscraper's Google Maps Scraper runs in a web app or through its API and lists phone and website among its default columns, with email_1 to email_3 and social profiles added by its Emails and Contacts enrichment. Pricing is free for the first 500 businesses, $3 per 1,000 records from 501 to 100,000 and $1 per 1,000 after that, with tiers resetting every 30 days; the standalone Emails and Contacts Scraper is $3 per 1,000 domains. Choose it when the deliverable is a CSV with emails and nobody on the team writes code. Its product page blocked our headless browser, so the screenshot is its pricing page.

4. Apify Google Maps Scraper: scheduled runs with add-ons

Apify Google Maps Scraper actor page, captured October 27, 2026

The Google Maps Scraper actor by Compass, maintained by Apify, has 667,250 total users and a 4.7 rating from 1,818 reviews. Phone and website come in the base place result, and its page pitches it as going beyond the limits of the official Places API. Its pay-per-event pricing, read from Apify's public actor data, is $4 per 1,000 places on the free plan, $3 on Starter, $2 on Scale and $1.50 on Business, and add-ons stack per place: company contacts enrichment is $2 per 1,000 on the free plan and business leads enrichment $5 per 1,000 on Starter. Choose it for scheduled exports into a dataset when you also want the enrichment add-ons.

5. Serper: Maps results on a Google search API

Serper home page, captured October 27, 2026

Serper is a Google search API with Maps and Places search types. Its Maps sample response shows 20 places with phoneNumber, website, rating, ratingCount, type, cid and placeId, with some entries missing a website or phone. Credits cost $50 for 50,000 ($1.00 per 1,000), $375 for 500,000, $1,250 for 2.5 million and $3,750 for 12.5 million ($0.30 per 1,000), valid for six months, with 2,500 free queries. Its public pages do not state how many credits a Maps query uses, so run a test before you budget. Choose it if you already use Serper for web search and want Maps on the same bill.

6. OpenWeb Ninja Local Business Data on RapidAPI

OpenWeb Ninja Local Business Data API on RapidAPI, captured October 27, 2026

Local Business Data from OpenWeb Ninja has 15,838 subscribers on RapidAPI and endpoints for search, area search by zoom, bounding box or radius, nearby search, business details and reviews. OpenWeb Ninja lists address, website, phone and email among its fields. RapidAPI shows a free Basic plan and a $25-a-month Pro plan, with request quotas behind a RapidAPI login; OpenWeb Ninja's own storefront sells the same API at $0.03 per 10 requests, $3 per 1,000. Choose it if your team already buys APIs through RapidAPI.

Pick by the number you need

If your list feeds a CRM, a dialer or an agent, the phone has to be on the row and the list has to be yours to keep, and that is the job Scavio's Google Maps API does. Say an agency covers 5 categories in 20 cities: 100 searches of six pages each is 600 credits. At the rate we measured in Phoenix, about 103 unique businesses and 101 phones per category and city, that is roughly 10,100 phone leads for $1.20 on the Growth plan billed yearly, or $6 at the pay-as-you-go rate. The same 10,300 records would be about $29 on Outscraper and $15 to $41 on Apify depending on plan, before email enrichment. Google's free 1,000 Enterprise requests would cover the fetching, but not keeping the phone numbers. Try the Google Maps API free, 50 credits, no card, or run a search in the playground.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Google Maps API expensive for lead generation?

Per request it is moderate, but phone numbers sit in the dearest tier. A Places API (New) Text Search that asks for a phone or website is billed as Text Search Enterprise, $35 per 1,000 requests after 1,000 free requests a month, and each request returns up to 20 places. The bigger cost for a lead list is the policy: you may store place IDs indefinitely but not cache or store the rest of the content beyond the allowed exceptions.

Can the Google Places API return business phone numbers?

Yes. Text Search and Place Details return nationalPhoneNumber and internationalPhoneNumber, and requesting either one bills the request at the Enterprise tier. Text Search stops at 60 results per query across pages, so covering a whole city means many queries.

Can I get emails from Google Maps through an API?

Not from the listing itself: Google Maps shows a phone and a website, not an email address. Tools that return emails, such as Outscraper's Emails and Contacts enrichment or Apify's contacts add-on, visit the business website and look for one there.

Is there a free Google Maps lead extractor?

Several APIs have free allowances: Google's Places API includes 1,000 Text Search Enterprise requests a month, Outscraper's first 500 businesses are free, Serper gives 2,500 free queries and Scavio gives 50 free credits, which is 1,000 businesses at 20 per search page. Apify's free plan bills $4 per 1,000 places against its monthly platform credit.

How many results can one Google Maps search return?

Google Maps lists about 120 businesses for one search. Scavio pages through them 20 at a time with start from 0 to 100; in our Phoenix test six pages per category returned between 99 and 109 unique businesses after duplicates. Google's own Text Search stops at 60. To go further, run the same query from several map centers.
