Search X and export
the tweets that matter
Run any X search, with operators, and get tweets with likes, reposts, replies and views, plus who drove the conversation. 5 free tweet searches a day, no account.
A Twitter search scraper without the X API bill
Social listening, research and brand teams need the same thing from X: every tweet that matches a query, with the numbers attached, in a format they can sort and share. X's own search shows the tweets one at a time, not the totals across them.
This tool runs your query, including from:, since:, until:, lang:, min_faves: and -filter:replies, and returns each tweet with its handle, date, text, likes, reposts, replies, views and link. It also adds up the engagement and ranks the authors behind it, so you can see in one glance whether a topic is driven by one big account or by many small ones.
The official X API charges per post read, which adds up fast when you pull search results every day. Check the numbers for your own volume in the X API pricing calculator, or see every endpoint the X (Twitter) API on Scavio covers: search, tweets, replies, user timelines, followers and trends.
How to export tweets from an X search
- 1
Write your search
Type a keyword, a #hashtag or a brand name. Add operators like from:handle, since:2026-10-01, lang:en or min_faves:100 to narrow it, the same way you would in X's own search box.
- 2
Pick Latest or Top
Latest returns recent tweets newest first. Top returns the tweets X ranks highest for the query, usually the ones with the most engagement.
- 3
Read the tweets and the totals
Each tweet shows the handle, date, text, likes, reposts, replies, views and a link. Above the list you get tweets fetched, total engagement, total views and the authors driving the conversation.
- 4
Pull the full list through the API
The free search shows 20 tweets. POST the same query to /api/v1/x/search and follow next_cursor to page through as many tweets as you need, then write them to CSV, a sheet or a database.
Frequently asked questions
What does the tweet search export show?+
For any X search query you get up to 20 tweets with the author handle, date, full text, language, likes, reposts, replies, views and a link to the tweet. Above the list are the totals for everything fetched: number of tweets, total engagement (likes, reposts, replies and quotes), total views, the date span, and the top authors ranked by engagement.
Which X search operators work?+
We tested these on live searches: from:handle for one account, since:YYYY-MM-DD and until:YYYY-MM-DD for a date window, lang:en (or any language code), min_faves:N and min_retweets:N for engagement thresholds, -filter:replies to drop replies, and "quoted phrases" for exact matches. You can combine them, for example from:OpenAI since:2026-09-01 min_faves:1000.
What is the difference between Latest and Top?+
Latest returns recent tweets, sorted newest first. Top returns the tweets X ranks highest for your query, which skews toward popular posts and can include older ones. For brand monitoring use Latest; for finding the posts that shaped a conversation use Top.
Is it free?+
Yes. You get 5 free tweet searches a day, no account. Each search fetches up to two pages and shows 20 tweets. For more, get an API key: 50 free credits on signup, no card required.
Can I export tweets to CSV?+
The page shows 20 tweets. The full list is available via the API as JSON: every page of up to 20 tweets costs 1 credit, and the response includes a next_cursor you pass back to get the next page. Writing those rows to a CSV is a few lines of code, or a spreadsheet step in n8n, Make or Zapier.
Do I need an X developer account or API key from X?+
No. You do not need an X account, a developer app or X API credentials. The free search runs without any login, and the Scavio API uses one API key for X and every other platform it covers.
How does the cost compare to the official X API?+
As of October 2026 the official X API charges $0.005 per post read on pay-per-use pricing, so 1,000 tweets cost $5, and those plans are capped at 3 million post reads a month. On Scavio a page of up to 20 tweets is 1 credit, so 1,000 tweets is roughly 50 to 60 credits. The X API pricing calculator works out both for your monthly volume.
How many tweets can I pull through the API?+
There is no fixed limit per query. Keep passing next_cursor until has_more is false or you have enough rows. Your plan's credits are the only cap: the Project plan is $24 a month billed yearly for 7,000 credits, which covers well over 100,000 tweets at 1 credit per page.
Can I track a keyword or hashtag every day?+
This page is a one-off search. To track a keyword, run the same query daily through the API from a cron job, n8n, Make or Zapier, with since: set to yesterday's date, and append the new tweets to your sheet or database.
Can I use this in my own code?+
Yes. POST /api/v1/x/search with { "search": "your query", "search_type": "Latest" } returns a data.timeline array of tweets with tweet_id, screen_name, text, created_at, favorites, retweets, replies, quotes and views, plus next_cursor for the next page. Each call costs 1 credit.
