Download X (Twitter)
videos as MP4
Paste a post link and save the video or GIF as a clean MP4 to your phone or desktop. No login, no watermark.
A free X (Twitter) video downloader
X (formerly Twitter) doesn't let you save videos from posts. Paste a post link here and download the video as an MP4 — full quality, no watermark, works on any device.
GIFs work too. X stores them as short looping MP4 files, so you get the same quality you see on the timeline.
No login, no app install. The video streams straight through to your browser and is never stored on our servers.

Frequently asked questions
What X (Twitter) videos can I download?+
Any video or GIF attached to a public post. This includes native video uploads, GIFs, and video replies. The post must be from a public account.
What format and quality do I get?+
Videos download as MP4 files at the highest available bitrate — the same quality you see when watching on Twitter/X.
Do x.com and twitter.com links both work?+
Yes. Both x.com/user/status/123 and twitter.com/user/status/123 formats are accepted.
Can I download GIFs from tweets?+
Yes. Twitter stores GIFs as short MP4 videos internally, so they download as MP4 files that loop like the original.
What about protected or deleted posts?+
Only public posts can be fetched. Videos from protected accounts or deleted posts are not accessible.
Is the X video downloader free?+
Yes. The first three downloads are free with no account. After that, sign up free to keep going on your own Scavio credits.
Do you store the videos?+
No. The video streams straight through to your browser and nothing is saved on our servers.
Can I use this in my own code?+
Yes. The tool runs on the Scavio X (Twitter) API. The same POST /api/v1/x/tweet endpoint returns the video URL programmatically.
