What is the Scavio HEB API?
The Scavio HEB API is a REST API that returns HEB grocery data as structured JSON. HEB has no public API; Scavio's 3 POST endpoints cover product search with prices, SNAP eligibility and aisle location, at a specific HEB store if you pass store_id; full product detail with nutrition facts, ingredients and coupons; and a store locator by ZIP or city.

Search
POST /api/v1/heb/searchKeyword search returning price, sale status, unit pricing, SNAP eligibility, aisle location and fulfillment channels for every result. Add a store_id and prices, stock and assortment come from that HEB store. HEB's own brands (Central Market, Hill Country Fare) are flagged.
Product detail
POST /api/v1/heb/productFull product page by id or URL: ingredients, nutrition facts, description, coupons, similar products, in-store location and all the pricing fields from search. With a store_id, the product id alone is enough.
Store locator

Can I check if an HEB product is SNAP/EBT eligible?

Yes. Every product in the search results and product detail response includes an is_ebt_snap field that tells you whether the item qualifies for SNAP/EBT. In our captured results, both Central Market Organics Whole Milk and Horizon Organic Whole Milk returned is_ebt_snap: true.
Can I get prices for a specific HEB store?

Yes. Pass store_id with an HEB store number to /api/v1/heb/search or /api/v1/heb/product and the price, sale status, in-stock flag, aisle location and the search results themselves come from that store. The response adds a store object naming the store used. In our capture, H-E-B Whole Milk, 1 gal was 398 cents at store 441 (Uvalde H-E-B) and 402 cents at HEB's default store. It is the same 2 credits per call.
How do I find an HEB store number?

POST a ZIP code or city to /api/v1/heb/stores. Every store in the response carries a store_number; pass it as store_id to search or product. An unknown store number returns a 400 that is not billed. Store-level pricing covers heb.com (US) stores.
Does the search return aisle locations?

Yes. Search results include a product_location field with the aisle and section. In the captured response, items showed locations like 'In Dairy on the Back Wall, A22'. Product detail returns the same field.
What data does the product detail endpoint return?

The product endpoint returns the full product page: name, brand, price, sale status, unit pricing, UPC, availability, SNAP eligibility, description, ingredients, nutrition facts with serving size and calories, in-store location, similar products and any active coupons.
Can I find HEB stores near me?

Yes. POST a ZIP code or city name to /api/v1/heb/stores and you get back HEB locations sorted by distance, each with store number, name, full address, phone, hours for every day of the week, pharmacy availability, fulfillment channels and a store URL. In our captured response, searching ZIP 78204 returned the Nogalitos H-E-B at 0.83 miles.
How much does an HEB request cost?

Every HEB endpoint costs 2 credits. New accounts get 50 free credits on signup, one time, with no card required. Paid plans start at $30 per month for 7,000 credits.
What is the is_own_brand field?

HEB sells products under its own store brands: H-E-B, Central Market and Hill Country Fare. The is_own_brand boolean in search and product results flags these, so you can filter or analyze HEB's private-label assortment separately from national brands.
How are prices formatted?

Prices are returned in cents as integers. A price of 698 means $6.98. The unit_price field is a formatted string like '$0.05/oz'. When an item is on sale, is_on_sale is true and list_price carries the regular price.
Which languages and tools are supported?

Every endpoint is a plain HTTPS POST with a JSON body, so any language works. Scavio also ships Python and JavaScript SDKs, a remote MCP server at mcp.scavio.dev for AI agents, and an n8n community node, all on the same API key.
Where does HEB operate?

HEB operates over 400 stores in Texas and northeast Mexico. The Scavio HEB API covers the US heb.com storefront. HEB also operates the Central Market banner, whose products appear in results with is_own_brand: true.
Is using HEB data legal?
