Stock at 25 stores in one call
POST /api/v1/dollargeneral/storesPass a ZIP and a UPC and one call returns that product's unit count at up to 25 nearby stores, each with quantity, in_stock, address, distance and hours. Our Dallas capture found Bounty in stock at 23 of 25 stores.
Store-level search

What is the Scavio Dollar General API?

It covers search, product detail by UPC, a store locator that can return a product's unit count at 25 stores at once, on-sale and clearance items, and the current digital coupons.
Can I see store-level stock?

Yes. Search, product and deals return available_quantity, the units on hand at that store, plus in_stock. Our capture of Bounty Select-A-Size at store 12629 in Dallas showed 3 on hand, and the product call reported 20 nearby stores with stock.
How do I check stock at many stores at once?

Call /api/v1/dollargeneral/stores with a ZIP (or latitude and longitude) and a upc. One call returns up to 25 nearby stores, each with quantity, in_stock, inventory_status and is_sellable for that product. Near ZIP 75203, 23 of the 25 stores returned had the Bounty pack in stock.
How do I find a Dollar General store number?

POST a ZIP code, or a latitude and longitude, to /api/v1/dollargeneral/stores. It returns up to 25 stores nearest first within 25 miles by default (up to 100), with store_id, address, phone, coordinates, distance in miles, opening hours and services. ZIP 75203 returned store 12629, 2919 Cedar Crest Blvd, at 0.8 miles.
How do I get Dollar General clearance?

Call /api/v1/dollargeneral/deals with type clearance and a store_id. Clearance items carry the current price only, with no was-price, so original_price equals price there. The listing covers the whole chain, so check available_quantity above 0 for items actually in stock at your store.
What about items on sale?

Use type on_sale on the same endpoint. Each item has the store's price and original_price, units on hand and the coupons that apply, 24 per page. Our capture at store 12629 listed 5,927 on-sale items over 247 pages.
Does the API return Dollar General digital coupons?

Yes. /api/v1/dollargeneral/coupons returns the current digital coupons, 30 per page, each with offer code, summary, description, brand, value, offer type (such as AmountOff or Cashback), minimum quantity, start and expiration dates and whether it is a manufacturer coupon. Our capture listed 360 coupons. Search and product results also carry the coupons that apply to each item.
Does the API return Dollar General reviews?

It returns each product's star rating and review count on search, product and deals. Review text is not available for Dollar General.
What is inventory_status?

It is Dollar General's own raw stock code, passed through as-is (called stock_status on product). For a plain answer, read in_stock and available_quantity instead.
How are prices formatted?

In dollars, as decimals: 14.95 means $14.95. original_price is the regular price; when it is higher than price, the item is marked down at that store.
How much does a Dollar General request cost?

Every Dollar General endpoint costs 1 credit, including a stores call that returns a product's stock at 25 stores. New accounts get 50 free credits on signup, one time, with no card required. Paid plans start at $30 per month for 7,000 credits.
How fresh is the data?

Every request fetches live from Dollar General at the moment you call it, and nothing is cached. Each response carries fetched_at, the time the data was retrieved.
Which languages and tools are supported?

Every endpoint is a plain HTTPS POST with a JSON body, so any language works. Scavio also ships Python and JavaScript SDKs, a remote MCP server at mcp.scavio.dev for AI agents, and an n8n community node, all on the same API key.
Is using Dollar General data legal?

Scavio returns publicly available Dollar General data and does not access accounts or order history. You remain responsible for how you use the data, including compliance with Dollar General's terms. Talk to your own counsel for your specific use case.
