How to Get Menards Prices and Rebates With an API: The Price After the 11% Rebate, by Store

To get Menards prices and rebates from code, use Scavio's Menards API. POST /api/v1/menards/search with a keyword and a store_id returns 40 products a page, each with the price you pay, the everyday and sale prices, the 11% mail-in rebate, the final_price after rebate and that store's stock_quantity; /product adds the rebate's start and end dates and the aisle. A search costs 2 credits, about $0.004 on the Growth plan billed yearly.

Menards has no open API, and menards.com shows prices, rebates and stock for one selected store at a time. These five steps get the same numbers for any store, with captured responses from November 2, 2026.

Step 1: Find the store number

You can also pass city and a 2-letter state. Chicago's ZIP 60601 returned 43 stores, the nearest Clybourn (3092); Des Moines 50309 returned 7. 1 credit.

Step 2: Search at that store

Read the price ladder left to right: everyday_price is the regular price, sale_price the temporary one, price what the register charges now, rebates the mail-in rebates and final_price the price after them. Here $119 everyday, $77.59 on sale, $8.53 back by mail, $69.06 after rebate, with 5 on hand at St Paul Midway. Narrow a search with in_stock_today, min_price and max_price, or order it with sort: the price sorts order by everyday_price, not the sale price, and there is no sort by title.

Step 3: Handle rows priced in the cart

14 of the 40 drills, and 21 of 40 refrigerators in a second search, were priced "in cart": Menards shows their final price only once the item is in the cart. Those rows keep the price but not the rebate amount. Row 8 of the drill search, trimmed:

Treat price_in_cart: true as "rebate applies, amount not shown", not as "no rebate". Separately, some items Menards prices only in store come back with every price field null; skip those rather than reading them as free. price_type can also be clearance: 4 of the 418 rows we pulled were.

Step 4: Open the product for rebate dates and the aisle

The sale runs to November 20 but the rebate ends November 8, so the $69.06 holds for six days. Product also returns the description, bullets, specifications, images, videos and documents. Without store_id it costs 1 credit and is priced for menards.com's default store with no stock. You can pass a menards.com url instead of item_id; the item id is the number after p- in the URL, not the SKU.

Step 5: Compare stores

Prices are per store for some items and stock always is, so loop step 2 over the stores you care about. We ran "2x4x8 stud" at seven stores in five states, 14 credits in all:

The same board was 9% dearer in Des Moines than in the Twin Cities, and a product call without a store priced it at $9.52, $8.47 after rebate. Always pass the store. The chart and a comparison of every Menards data option are in the best Menards product data APIs.

All three endpoints

store_id is required on search, and an unknown store number returns a 400 that is not charged. A 502 means Menards was briefly unavailable and is not charged either. There are no UPCs, ratings or reviews; match products across retailers on brand and model_number.
