You can skip the crawler. Scavio's Nordstrom API returns nordstrom.com search results and product pages as JSON: POST /api/v1/nordstrom/search gives 24 products a page with price, original price, percent off, rating and every color, and POST /api/v1/nordstrom/product gives every size of every color with its own price, price type, UPC, stock flag and units available to ship, plus the star histogram, size-fit votes and the reviews on the page. All 9 valid calls we made on November 7, 2026 returned 200, in 2.2 to 5.7 seconds. Each costs 5 credits, and errors are not charged.
The question comes from r/webscraping, where a developer asked for tips on crawling Nordstrom. They had tried several HTTP clients and a browser, headful and headless, with retries, and wrote that "at best we can get around 10% success rate". The thread has 4 comments. If what you need is Nordstrom's data rather than a crawler of your own, two calls replace it.
What the crawl was for, and the call that replaces it
A Nordstrom crawl usually wants two kinds of page: search or listing pages, to find products and their sale prices, and product pages, for sizes, colors, stock and reviews. Those map one to one, and the reviews behind a product page's "more reviews" have a call of their own.
| Crawler target | Call | What comes back |
|---|---|---|
| Search and listing pages | /api/v1/nordstrom/search | 24 products a page, up to page 100, six sorts including percent_off; style id, URL, brand, price and price range, original price range, percent off, rating, review count, badges, low_inventory, Marketplace seller, colors; plus total_results and page_count |
| Product pages | /api/v1/nordstrom/product | Description, features, fit notes; every color and size as a sku with upc, price, original_price, price_type, in_stock, quantity; star histogram, size-fit votes and the reviews the page shows (up to about 13) |
| Review pages (more reviews, sorted or filtered) | /api/v1/nordstrom/reviews | Up to 200 reviews a call, sorted most helpful, most recent, highest or lowest rated, filtered by star rating, verified purchase, photos or text; each with rating, size rating, size purchased, reviewer height and body type and photos; plus the rating summary and AI review summary. 10 credits |
Step 1: Pull a search page
curl -s https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/nordstrom/search \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SCAVIO_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"query": "dress", "sort": "percent_off"}'On November 7 this returned 24 products from 43,741 results (1,823 pages) in 3.0 s. The first row, trimmed to its main fields:
{
"position": 1,
"style_id": "9338664",
"brand": "Roaman's",
"price": 21.99,
"original_price_range": { "min": 230, "max": 230 },
"percent_off": 90,
"on_sale": true,
"is_marketplace": true,
"seller": "FullBeauty Brands"
}Each row also carries its url, name, image, price_range, rating, review_count, badges and colors. Fifteen of the 24 rows were Marketplace listings with a named seller, which a crawler would have to tell apart from Nordstrom's own stock on its own.
Step 2: Pull a product page
curl -s https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/nordstrom/product \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SCAVIO_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"style_id": "8083472"}'Style 8083472, UGG's Women's Tasman II Slipper, came back in 3.1 s with 13 colors, 104 skus, a 4.6 rating from 848 reviews, the star histogram, the size-fit votes and 12 reviews. The sku list is what makes a product page worth crawling, and here it is already structured: the DUSTY ORCHID color was $77.99 on promotion, every other color $129.95 regular, and each size carried its UPC and the units available to ship. The full response is in how to get Nordstrom product data.
Covering a whole category
Pass the category's /browse path, such as /browse/women/clothing/dresses or a sale section like sale/women, to /api/v1/nordstrom/category: 24 products a page with the same six sorts, plus its subcategories and filter counts. A search reaches 100 pages per query and sort, 2,400 products, so split wide queries by brand, style or color, and run newest and percent_off sorts to catch new arrivals and fresh markdowns. Then call product only for the styles you need in full.
What you give up compared with your own crawler
- nordstrom.com only, no other country sites. Nordstrom Rack is a separate catalog with its own Nordstrom Rack API: the same endpoints on nordstromrack.com, plus clearance, Clear the Rack and flash event listings.
- No per-store unit counts.
quantityis units available to ship online. The availability endpoint (10 credits) names the stores that can do in-store pickup for each size, but per store it is yes/no, not a count. - 200 reviews per call. Product returns the reviews the page shows, up to about 13 (6 to 12 on the UGG styles we opened). The reviews endpoint returns the history, up to 200 a call with no page parameter, so split a product with more by star rating; each call costs 10 credits and takes 20 to 60 seconds.
- Fixed fields. You get the documented fields, not arbitrary page elements.
What it costs
Each search or product call is 5 credits: $5 per 1,000 calls on the Growth plan. Reviews and availability calls are 10. Refreshing 10,000 product pages a month is 50,000 credits, about $50 at that rate, with nothing to maintain when the site changes and nothing billed for failed calls. Searches return 24 products each, so a daily sweep of 20 sale searches covers up to 480 products for 100 credits.
Try the Nordstrom API free, 50 credits, no card, or run a search in the playground. If you are choosing between vendors, the best Nordstrom price tracker APIs compares six of them with prices checked the same day.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get Nordstrom product data without running a crawler?
Yes. Scavio's Nordstrom API returns nordstrom.com search pages and product pages as JSON: one POST for 24 search results with price, percent off, rating and colors, and one POST for a product with every size and color priced, its UPC, stock and units to ship, plus ratings and the reviews on the page. You send a query or a product URL and get the data back in the same request.
How many Nordstrom products can one search return?
24 per page and up to 100 pages, so 2,400 per query and sort. Large queries go well past that: "dress" matched 43,741 products on November 7, 2026. To cover a category, split it into narrower queries (by brand, style or color) and combine sorts such as newest and percent_off.
Am I charged when a Nordstrom request fails?
Not with Scavio. Each successful Nordstrom call costs 5 credits; an unknown product (404) or a temporary outage (502 or 503) is not charged, and a malformed request is rejected with a 400 before any data is fetched. All 9 valid calls we made on November 7, 2026 returned 200.
Is it legal to scrape Nordstrom?
Nordstrom's terms restrict automated access to its site, and data-protection rules apply to reviewer names. An API that returns publicly displayed product, price and review data does not sign in as a customer, but you remain responsible for how you use the data. Talk to your own counsel about your specific use case.
