For Realtor.com data inside an app, a deal-sourcing workflow or an AI agent, start with Scavio's Realtor.com API. One search call returns up to 200 for-sale, rental, pending or sold listings, with keyword search in listing descriptions, for 1 credit: $0.01 per 1,000 listings on the Growth plan billed yearly. If you want one key for many portals, RealtyAPI covers 27. For record files delivered in bulk, Bright Data and Apify actors fit. If you would rather run code than pay for an API, HomeHarvest is free and open source.

We build Scavio, so read this with that bias in mind. Every Scavio number below comes from live calls we made on October 10, 2026, re-checked on October 11 (sold counts move daily, so those are the October 11 figures). Every competitor detail was read off the vendor's own page or the Apify store on October 10; where a figure was not published, we left it out.

1. Scavio: listings, sold comps and keyword search in one API

Scavio's Realtor.com API has six POST endpoints: search, property, locations, market, agents and agent. All cost 1 credit. Search is the workhorse: for sale (pending included, or excluded), pending only, for rent or sold, by city, county, ZIP, neighborhood, a radius around a point, or one agent's listings, with price, beds, baths, square feet, lot size, garage, HOA, year built, property type, new construction, foreclosure, open house and listed/sold/price-reduced-within filters, ten sorts, and up to 200 rows per call.

What we measured on October 10, 2026:

  • Sold land comps, one call per county. Land of one acre or more sold in the last 24 months: Maricopa County, Arizona returned 2,607 sales (all of them in 14 calls), Horry County, South Carolina 694 and Polk County, Florida 607, with 200 of 200 rows priced in each. Median price per acre in the newest 200 sales: $83,044, $31,331 and $25,000. The full method is in how to pull sold land comps by county.
  • Keyword search in descriptions. keywords: ["workshop"] in Portland, Oregon returned 421 for-sale listings that mention a workshop; on October 10, 176 of the newest 200 had been listed in the previous 30 days. That is a deal watch for live/work spaces, shops or detached garages in one call per city. Several keywords must all match: "garage" alone returned 2,764 Portland listings, "workshop" and "garage" together 338. For any-of matching, run one call per keyword and merge on property_id.
  • Property detail that land and home buyers use. On a 2.5-acre parcel listed at $785,000 that sold for $550,000 after three price cuts, the property call returned the price history, an automated valuation of $693,000 (the sale closed below its $561,300 low end), a severe wildfire factor and a minimal flood factor, nearby schools and 28-day page views.
  • Server time 1.5 to 4.5 seconds per call. Fine for jobs and agents, not for a user waiting on every keystroke.

Honest limits: a single search reaches its first 10,000 results, so split big markets by price band or type; sold prices are blank in non-disclosure states (Texas, Utah, Wyoming and others; 0 of 200 priced in Travis County, Texas); and no owner, buyer, seller or mortgage fields. Scavio also covers Zillow, Redfin and Rightmove on the same key, so a cross-portal comparison needs no second vendor.

2. Realtor.com's own API: lead delivery for agents

Realtor.com's official API connects its lead system to an agent's CRM, for agents and brokers on Connections Plus. It replaces lead emails with a direct connection. It is not a listings or sold-data API, and there is no public consumer property search API, which is why every other option on this page exists.

3. RealtyAPI: one key for 27 portals

RealtyAPI sells a unified API across 27 listing platforms, including Realtor.com, Realtor.ca, Redfin, Rightmove, Zoopla, Airbnb and Idealista, with an MCP server, OpenAPI specs and an n8n node. Its pricing page lists a free plan of 250 requests a month, PRO at $49 for 20,000 requests, ULTRA at $99 for 85,000, MEGA at $399 for 500,000, and credits from $0.005 per request, noting that "some complex endpoints may cost more than 1 request per call". It also sells a Watchlist that alerts on price, status or estimate changes for Zillow, Realtor.com and Redfin homes at 2 credits per check. Choose it when portal count matters most; we did not test how many rows one of its requests returns.

4. Bright Data: record files at scale

Bright Data's Realtor.com Scraper API delivers property records as datasets. It lists 5,000 free records a month, $1.50 per 1,000 records pay-as-you-go, and a $499 Scale plan that includes 384,000 records. Choose it when the deliverable is a file in your storage, not a response inside a request.

5. Apify actors: many options, priced per result

The Apify store lists dozens of Realtor.com actors. The most used, epctex/realtor-scraper, shows 1,807 users (77 in the last 30 days) and charges $0.01 per search plus $0.001 per detail or dataset item. memo23/realtor-search-cheerio shows 96 users in the last 30 days, charges $0.0015 per result plus $0.005 per run, and advertises "No 3K Limit" and agent downloads; we have not tested those claims. About half of Apify's Realtor.com actors target agent contact lists. Each actor is maintained by its author, so pin the one you test.

6. HomeHarvest: free, if you run it

HomeHarvest is an open-source Python library that fetches Realtor.com properties for sale, for rent, sold or pending, filters by beds, baths, price, size, lot and date, and exports to CSV, Excel or pandas. Google's AI Overview for "realtor.com scraper" names it as the community favourite on Reddit. It costs nothing; you pay in your own time when you run it at volume, schedule it and keep it working.

For one-off exports without code, Chrome extensions and no-code tools such as Octoparse save a results page to CSV.

Pick by the job

If you run code and volume is small, HomeHarvest is free. If you need one key across dozens of portals, RealtyAPI is built for that. If you need files in a bucket, Bright Data or an Apify actor fits. If your product, fund or agent acts on Realtor.com data, such as sold comps across many counties, keyword deal watches or property due diligence, keeping that pipeline running is the ongoing work, and that is what Scavio's Realtor.com API handles: 200 rows per 1-credit call, from $2 per 1,000 requests on the Growth plan billed yearly. A weekly keyword watch across 10 cities is about 40 calls a month; land comps for all of Maricopa County are 14. Get 50 free credits, no card, or try the endpoints in the playground.

Frequently asked questions

Does Realtor.com have an API?

Realtor.com's own API is for lead delivery: agents and brokers on its Connections Plus program route buyer leads into their CRM. It does not offer a public API for listings or sold data. Third-party APIs such as Scavio, RealtyAPI, Bright Data and Apify actors return public Realtor.com listing data as JSON.

Is there a free Realtor.com API?

HomeHarvest is a free open-source Python library you run yourself. Among hosted APIs, Scavio gives 50 free credits on signup (up to 10,000 listings at 200 per call), RealtyAPI has a free plan of 250 requests a month, and Bright Data lists 5,000 free records a month.

Can I get Realtor.com sold data through an API?

Yes. Scavio's search takes listing_status sold with sold-within-days, price, property type and lot-size filters and returns sold price and sold date per row. In sold-price non-disclosure states such as Texas the sold price is blank: in an October 2026 test, 0 of 200 Travis County land sales had one.

Can I search Realtor.com listings by keyword in the description?

With Scavio, yes: pass keywords and only listings whose description contains all of them are returned, so each extra keyword narrows the set. In Portland, Oregon in October 2026, 421 for-sale listings mentioned a workshop, 2,764 a garage and 338 both. To match any of several words, run one call per keyword and merge on property_id.
