For Petco prices and stock inside an app, a price tracker or an AI agent, start with Scavio's Petco API. Its POST /api/v1/petco/product call returns every size of a product with the one-time price, the ongoing Repeat Delivery (autoship) price and the first-autoship price, and POST /api/v1/petco/store-inventory returns the units on hand for up to 10 products at one Petco store. Every call costs 1 credit, about $0.002 on the Growth plan billed yearly, and search, category and a store locator come with the same key.
Petco does not publish a self-serve API for petco.com product, price or stock data, which Google's own AI Overview for "petco scraper api" confirms. So the options below are third-party APIs and scraping tools, and the difference between them is which Petco fields you get back already parsed.
We build Scavio, so read this with that bias in mind. Every Scavio number below comes from live calls we made on November 2, 2026. Every other detail was read off the provider's own page or documentation that day, and where a detail was not published we say so. The screenshots are each provider's own Petco page, captured the same day.

Petco's first autoship order is where the discount is
Petco sells most food at three prices: the one-time price, the Repeat Delivery price for every autoship order, and a promotional price for the first autoship order. Listing pages show the first two; the first-order price appears per size on the product page. We read it for every size of the 11 top-selling dry dog foods and 4 top-selling dry cat foods with Scavio's product endpoint: 15 calls, 15 credits.
The rule held on all 48 sizes: the first Repeat Delivery order was 35% off the one-time price, capped at $20. The 28 sizes priced up to $56.99 got the full 35%, and the 20 sizes from $58.79 up got exactly $20 off, which shrinks as the bag grows: 25.6% on a $77.99 bag of Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach (30 lbs., $57.99 on the first order) and 14.9% on a $133.99 bag of ORIJEN Original (31 lbs., $113.99). Every later autoship order was exactly 5% off on all 48. For a buyer, the cheapest first order is often a smaller bag; for a price tracker, first_autoship_price is the field that moves when Petco runs a promotion, as it did in October when shoppers on r/catfood reported a 40% first-autoship sale with no cap.
Stock is the other half, and it is per store. We asked for the 10 Petco stores nearest Chicago ZIP 60614 and checked the same 10 top-selling dry dog foods at each: 10 store inventory calls, 10 credits. Seven of the products were on hand at 5 to 9 of the 10 stores, 246 units in all; the 30 lb Purina Pro Plan bag had 0 at the nearest store, 2000 N Clybourn, and 6 at Chicago Diversey. Three online best sellers, from The Honest Kitchen, Royal Canin and Stella & Chewy's, had 0 units at all 10 stores.
1. Scavio: Repeat Delivery prices, units on hand by store and a store finder

Scavio's Petco API is 5 POST endpoints, each 1 credit. Measured on November 2:
- Search and category: 48 products a page with price, list price, autoship price, rating, review count, part number,
cat_entry_id, pickup, same-day and in-store-only flags, deal groups and every size with its own prices. The dry dog food category sorted by top sellers returned 1,055 products over 22 pages in 8.6 s; 15 of the 48 on page one were below their list price. - Product: every size with UPC, SKU, one-time, list, autoship, first-autoship and pickup price, online quantity, ingredients, guaranteed analysis and specifications. Our 15 calls took 2.7 to 24.7 s.
- Stores: up to 10 stores nearest a ZIP with
store_id, address, phone, distance and opening hours by weekday. - Store inventory: units on hand for up to 10
cat_entry_idvalues at one store, with Petco's GREEN, YELLOW or RED level and anin_stockflag, bystore_idor by ZIP for the nearest store. Our 21 calls took 1.0 to 23.5 s.
What it does not do: prices are national, one price for every store, so there is no store-specific price to return. Stock is one store per call; covering a metro means looping over stores, and the store finder stops at the 10 nearest a ZIP. A count of 0 does not say whether a store has sold out or never carries the item, and the counts are Petco's own system counts, which store staff on r/petco say can show units that are not on the shelf. Category and product calls can take 25 to 30 seconds and occasionally time out upstream; a failed call is not charged, so retry. There is no review text, only rating and review count. The benefit is one key, issued at signup, and one JSON format for Petco alongside Chewy, PetSmart, Walmart and Target, plus an MCP server for agents. How to get Petco prices and store inventory walks through each call with captured responses.
2. Bright Data: product records by URL, and a reviews scraper

Bright Data's Petco Scraper API takes up to 5,000 product URLs per call, each with an option to collect all variations, and a second collector discovers products from the sitemap. The fields its page lists are product title, description, brand, category, category tree, item id, variant id and URL, and the sample output adds GTIN and MPN; price, autoship price and store stock are not among the listed fields. It costs $1.50 per 1,000 records pay-as-you-go or $499 a month for 384,000 records with more at $1.30 per 1,000, every account gets 5,000 free records a month, and the page carried a 60% discount code for three months. Bright Data also sells a separate Petco Reviews Scraper with review text, which Scavio does not return. Choose it for a file of what Petco sells, or for review text.
3. Oxylabs: Petco pages for your own parser

Oxylabs' Petco target has one dedicated source, petco_search, which takes a query, a start page and a fulfillment_type filter (repeat_delivery, free_pickup_today or same_day_delivery); any other Petco page is fetched by URL. Its documentation says the response "returns the page HTML in content", and the product page offers parsing through Oxy Parser or a custom parser you write with XPath and CSS selectors. No store or ZIP parameter is documented. Pricing is listed per 1,000 results, from $0.50 down to $0.25 at 10 million or more, with plans from $30 a month and $5 of free credit; the page gives no Petco-specific rate. Choose it if your team already parses retailer HTML and wants Petco on the same bill.
4. Apify actors: catalogue exports on a schedule

Lexis Solutions' Petco.com Scraper takes search, category and brand URLs and returns each product's name, brand, ids, facets, rating and review count, a price object with rd_price, list_price and offer_price, and pickup, Repeat Delivery and in-store-only flags. It costs from $1.90 per 1,000 products, had 6 users and no ratings, and takes no product URL or store. ParseForge's Petco Product Scraper takes a keyword or a category URL, lists price, rating, images and details, and costs from $11.99 per 1,000 results, with 12 users. Neither documents a first-autoship price or store stock. Each actor is maintained by one developer, so pin the one you test.
5. Crawlbase: a crawling API with a Petco recipe

Crawlbase's Petco recipe shows how to fetch petco.com category pages through its general Crawling API, with a measured 99.2% success rate for August 2026. It returns the page body; the recipe says a listing "carries the items of one section, each with a title, a link and often a price", and parsing those items is left to you. A Petco page costs 1 credit without a browser and 2 with the JavaScript token the recipe needs, Starter covers 100,000 pages a month for $99, and the page offers up to 5,000 free requests with no card. Choose it if you want raw pages and full control of the parser.
Two vendors that come up in Petco searches did not make the list: Unwrangle's site names Target, Costco, Sam's Club, Lowe's and others but no Petco API, and Piloterr's API library listed no Petco endpoint on November 2.
Pick by the number you need
Pricing a whole Petco category every day is a small bill on any of these. The dry dog food category is 1,055 products, 22 category calls a pass: 660 calls a month, about $1.32 with Scavio at the Growth-yearly rate of $2 per 1,000 calls. As per-product records at $1.50 per 1,000, the same 31,650 rows a month would be about $40 after Bright Data's 5,000 free, without the autoship price.
Stock is where the call shape matters. Watching 100 products at the 10 stores nearest one ZIP is 10 store inventory calls per store, 100 calls a pass. Twice a day that is 6,000 calls a month, $12 for 60,000 store counts, about $0.20 per 1,000 counts. Add the first-autoship price for those 100 products once a day, 3,000 product calls, and the total is about $18 a month. Try the Petco API free, 50 credits, no card, or try the endpoints in the playground.

Frequently asked questions
Does Petco have a public API?
No. Petco does not offer a public, self-serve API for petco.com products, prices or store stock, and Google's AI Overview for "petco scraper api" says the same. Developers use a third-party data API instead. Scavio's Petco API returns search, category, product, store locator and store inventory data as JSON with one key issued at signup.
How much is Petco's first Repeat Delivery discount?
On November 2, 2026 it was 35% off the one-time price, capped at $20. Across 48 sizes of 15 top-selling dry dog and cat foods, the 28 sizes priced under $57.14 were exactly 35% off and the other 20 were exactly $20 off, down to 14.9% on a $133.99 bag. Petco runs promotions that change this, so read first_autoship_price on the day you need it.
Is Petco autoship cheaper than buying once?
Yes, by 5% on every order after the first. All 48 sizes we checked had an autoship_price exactly 5% below the one-time price, while the first Repeat Delivery order was 35% off up to $20. The ongoing autoship discount is the same percentage on a $13.99 bag and a $133.99 bag.
Can I check Petco stock at several stores with an API?
Yes, one store per call. Scavio's stores endpoint returns up to 10 Petco stores near a ZIP with their store_id, and store inventory returns units on hand for up to 10 products at one of them, so 10 products at 10 stores is 10 calls and 10 credits. None of the other APIs compared here documents a store stock field.
Are Petco prices different at each store?
No. Petco publishes one national price per item, and the pickup price matched the one-time price on every variant we read. What changes store by store is stock: the 30 lb bag of Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach had 0 units at the nearest Chicago store and 6 at the Diversey store 3.87 miles away.
