Yes, for prices. You do not need Airbnb's partner approval to read Airbnb listings and prices for a city or ZIP code. Scavio's Airbnb API takes a location, which can be a city, a ZIP or an Airbnb search URL, plus check-in and check-out dates, and returns 18 listings a page with each one's nightly price, stay total and the line items behind it, as JSON. A call costs 1 credit, about $0.002 on the Growth plan billed yearly. Occupancy is the part no search API can read directly; for that you need an estimate.

On r/airbnb_hosts, a user asked for an alternative to Airbnb's official API, which they described as "only for a bunch of cool people", to get prices and occupancy for listings in a geographic zone such as a city or ZIP code. The thread has 11 comments, and on October 27, 2026 it was still the first Google result for "airbnb api for listing and pricing data". Here is the answer, with responses we captured that day.
What Airbnb itself offers
Airbnb's API Terms of Service (last updated October 15, 2025) describe API Programs for host services: property management, channel management, operations management, connected devices, hospitality providers and the Preferred Software Partner Program. The developer site covers managing a partner's own listings, availability, reservations and messages, and its documentation sits behind a partner login. Each partner gets the scopes its program needs. None of the documented products searches the marketplace or reads another host's price.

Step 2: Cover the whole zone
To get the rest of the ZIP, send next_cursor from each response as cursor until you run out of pages; 15 pages of 18 is about 270 listings. Every listing carries its own coordinates, and the response gives the searched area's map_bounds, so you can keep only the listings inside your own boundary. A city name works the same way, and so does an Airbnb search URL copied from the browser. For a listing's amenities, host and category ratings, call /api/v1/airbnb/listing with its listing_id.
Step 3: Track prices across dates
Airbnb prices a stay, not a listing, so the date window is part of the question. We searched five US cities for a Tuesday-to-Thursday stay (November 17-19) and the Friday-to-Sunday stay that followed. The median nightly price in New Orleans went from $122 to $238, and every listing that showed up in both searches cost 25% to 113% more on the weekend. What about occupancy?
Airbnb does not show occupancy, so nobody can read it off the site. What exists are estimates. AirDNA and AirROI sell occupancy, average daily rate and revenue estimates by market and by listing; AirROI publishes per-call prices, and AirDNA sells API access through an account manager. Inside Airbnb publishes free city files, including a calendar, roughly every quarter. If you need occupancy, use one of those for that number and a search API for today's prices.
What it costs
Sweeping 10 ZIP codes, all 15 pages each, for 4 upcoming date windows is 600 searches. Run once a week, that is about 2,600 credits a month, around $5 on the Growth plan billed yearly; run daily, it is 18,000 credits, about $36, for up to 10,800 listing prices a day. How often should I pull Airbnb prices?
As often as your decisions change. Prices move with the dates searched and hosts lower them close to the stay: 128 of 332 rows in our October 27 test carried a discount, most with a note that the host recently lowered the price for those dates. Daily pulls for a handful of upcoming windows are a common pattern.
