What if the username was recently changed?+
TikTok resolves the current username. If someone changed their handle, you need to search for the new one. The numeric ID you get will be the same as before the rename.
Is the user ID the same as the sec_uid?+
No. The user ID is a numeric string (like 107955). The sec_uid is a longer encrypted identifier used in some TikTok URLs. Both are unique and permanent, but APIs typically use the numeric user ID.
Can I convert a user ID back to a username?+
Not with this tool. TikTok does not offer a public reverse lookup from numeric ID to username. You would need to store the mapping yourself.
