API Response Time Tester

Test API response times and benchmark latency. Send requests to any public endpoint and measure time to first byte, total response time, and DNS lookup speed.

About This Tool

Enter any public API endpoint URL to measure its response time. The tool sends a request and reports time to first byte (TTFB), total response time, DNS lookup time, and HTTP status code. Run multiple requests to calculate average latency and consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions

TTFB measures the time between sending a request and receiving the first byte of the response. It includes DNS lookup, TCP connection, TLS handshake, and server processing time.

Run at least 5-10 requests to get a reliable average. A single request can be skewed by network conditions, cold starts, or server caching.

This tool tests public endpoints that do not require authentication. For testing authenticated APIs, use the cURL to Code converter to generate test scripts in your preferred language.
