What is Cline?
Open-source VS Code coding agent with MCP server support. Wire Scavio's MCP server into Cline for real-time web search inside the editor.
Searching YouTube Shorts with Cline
This integration lets your Cline agent search YouTube Shorts in real time via the Scavio API. The agent gets back structured JSON with short video results, video ids, view counts, published time -- ready for reasoning and decision-making.
Setup
# Install Cline from VS Code marketplace, add Scavio to cline_mcp_settings.jsonCode Example
Here is a complete Cline agent that searches YouTube Shorts using Scavio:
# Generic HTTP integration for Cline
# Point your framework's HTTP request tool at:
#
# POST https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/youtube/shorts
# Authorization: Bearer sk_live_your_key
# Content-Type: application/json
# {"search":"your search query"}
#
# Rows come back under data.results.
#
# Shorts search takes search (not query). channel.name is often empty on Shorts rows - resolve it with POST /api/v1/youtube/video when you need it.
