Definition
An outbound agent is an autonomous agent that handles the full outbound sales loop: discovering target accounts, enriching contacts, researching personalization hooks, drafting emails, and scheduling sends, with a human in the loop only for approval.
In Depth
Outbound agents replaced the classic SDR tool stack through 2025 and 2026. A typical build uses an orchestrator model, a Scavio-backed research subagent for prospect context, a CRM MCP for data read/write, and an email-sending tool. The agent's quality depends mostly on the research subagent because personalization is what distinguishes outbound that converts from outbound that gets blocked.
Example Usage
The outbound agent researched 400 prospects overnight with Scavio as its web-research tool and queued drafts for the SDR to approve by 9am.
