What is the Scavio Home Depot API?
The Scavio Home Depot API is a REST API that returns public homedepot.com data as structured JSON. You send a keyword, item id, ZIP or store number to one of 6 POST endpoints with your API key, and get back product rows with brand and model, the full item page including promotions and MAP flags, paginated customer reviews, nearby stores, an item's price and pickup stock at a chosen store with delivery to a chosen ZIP, or every delivery option with its charge.

Six endpoints, the whole aisle — at any store
Search finds it, product prices it, reviews tell you whether it lasts, and availability tells you what a specific store has and what delivery costs.
Search
POST /api/v1/homedepot/searchKeyword search with price, promotion block, brand and model number on every row — model numbers are what let you match items across retailers.
Product detail
POST /api/v1/homedepot/productThe full item page by item id, including the promotion block plus MAP and clearance flags that explain why a price is what it is.
Reviews
POST /api/v1/homedepot/reviewsFull review bodies rather than truncated snippets, paginated — the detail that matters for products people install rather than wear.
Store search
POST /api/v1/homedepot/storesTurn a ZIP code, city or address into nearby stores with store numbers, hours and services such as tool rental and propane.
Store availability
POST /api/v1/homedepot/availabilityOne item at the store you pick: that store's price, pickup stock and ready date, plus delivery dates and charges to any ZIP. Every answer carries retrieved_at.
Delivery quote
POST /api/v1/homedepot/shippingEvery delivery option for an item to a ZIP and quantity, from curbside to room of choice, with the charge and dates for each.
All 6 Home Depot endpoints
Every route is a POST, returns JSON, and takes the same API key. Home Depot is priced at 2 credits per successful call, 4 for a delivery quote.

}Why not a Home Depot supplier API?
Those exist to run a vendor relationship. Reading the storefront is a different job.
Home Depot supplier / partner APIs
- Require an approved supplier or vendor relationship
- Scoped to items and orders you already own
- No open endpoint for competitor listings, promotions or reviews
- Onboarding is contractual rather than self-serve
Scavio Home Depot API
- One API key, issued at signup — no supplier account, no contract
- Any public listing, promotion state or review
- Brand and model number on search rows, for cross-retailer matching
- Price, pickup stock and delivery quotes at any store or ZIP
- Same key and JSON envelope as 30 other Scavio platforms
Scavio returns publicly available listing data only, and never authenticates as a Home Depot user.
What developers build with it
Store-level price and stock tracking
Check the same items at the stores your customers shop every day: price, discount, pickup stock and delivery charges per store and ZIP, each stamped with retrieved_at for a clean price history.
stores + availabilityTrade and contractor pricing
Price a bill of materials across a job and watch it weekly. Home Depot's promotion and clearance flags tell you when a line item is genuinely cheap rather than merely listed.
search + productMAP and pricing-policy monitoring
The product endpoint surfaces MAP and clearance state, so brands can see when their minimum advertised price is being tested at one of the largest home-improvement retailers.
productCross-retailer matching by model
Search rows carry brand and model number, which is the reliable key for matching the same SKU against Lowe's, Amazon or a manufacturer's own site.
searchReview mining for product teams
Full review bodies, not snippets, run through an LLM to surface installation failures and durability complaints that never reach a support ticket.
reviewsAgent tools for home projects
Point an agent at the MCP server and Home Depot becomes a callable tool — what does this cost, is it on promotion, what do reviewers say — with one key.
MCP + RESTHow to get Home Depot data as JSON
- 1
Get an API key
Sign up for a Scavio account and copy your key from the dashboard. You get 50 credits free on signup, with no card required and no Home Depot supplier account.
- 2
POST a query or item id
Send {"query": "cordless drill"} to https://api.scavio.dev/api/v1/homedepot/search with an Authorization: Bearer header. Product detail, reviews and store availability key on the item_id search returns; store search turns a ZIP into store ids.
- 3
Budget 2 credits a call
Home Depot costs 2 credits per call (4 for a delivery quote) rather than the 1-credit norm on most Scavio platforms. The response wraps the payload under data, plus credits_used and credits_remaining, so the cost is visible on every call.
Home Depot API FAQ
What is the Scavio Home Depot API?
+
It is a REST API that returns public homedepot.com data as structured JSON. Six POST endpoints cover keyword search, full item detail by item id including the promotion block, paginated customer reviews with full bodies, store search, an item's price and stock at a store you choose, and delivery quotes to a ZIP. You authenticate with a Scavio API key.
Who are these endpoints for?
+
Developers embedding retail or trade data in a product; AI agent builders wiring Home Depot in as an MCP or SDK tool; automation engineers running price checks inside n8n, Zapier or Make; contractors and estimators pricing materials; brands monitoring MAP compliance; and analysts tracking the home-improvement category. Same API for all of them.
How much does a Home Depot request cost?
+
Home Depot costs 2 credits per call on search, product, reviews, store search and store availability, and 4 on the delivery quote, which reads the live price before quoting. That is above the 1-credit norm on most Scavio platforms. New accounts get 50 free credits on signup, so 25 Home Depot calls. Paid plans start at $30 per month for 7,000 credits.
Can I choose a store or ZIP code?
+
Yes. Store search turns a ZIP, city or address into store numbers. Store availability then takes an item_id with a store_id, a zip, or both, and returns that store's price and pickup stock and the delivery options to that ZIP. Search, product and reviews answer for one store Home Depot assigns.
Do store_id and zip have to match?
+
No. They are independent: store_id decides the pickup block and the price, zip decides delivery dates and charges. You can track a store in Seattle and delivery to New York in one call. Home Depot chooses where a delivery ships from, and the response reports it.
Does the API say when the data was retrieved?
+
Store search, store availability and the delivery quote return retrieved_at, the ISO 8601 time the data was read from Home Depot. Every request is fetched live; nothing is served from a cache.
Can I get shipping costs?
+
Yes. Store availability returns the default delivery option's charge and dates for a ZIP. The delivery quote returns every option for an item, ZIP and quantity, including the delivery levels Home Depot sells on bulky items (for example curbside free, inside entryway $30, room of choice $60 on one vanity). Charges are Home Depot's quotes, not checkout totals.
Does Home Depot have an official public API?
+
Not for reading the public catalogue. Home Depot's developer and supplier surfaces serve vendors managing their own items under a commercial relationship, not general product, price and review access.
Can I see promotions and clearance pricing?
+
Yes. The product endpoint returns the price and promotion block along with MAP and clearance flags, which is what distinguishes a genuine markdown from a permanently discounted list price.
What does the response look like?
+
The API wraps the payload under a data key and adds credits_used and credits_remaining. A search result carries pos, item_id, title, brand and url, alongside query, page, page_size, sort, count and total_results.
How does pagination work?
+
Search responses return page, page_size and total_results. Increment page on the next call; reviews paginate the same way.
Which languages and tools are supported?
+
Official Python (pip install scavio) and JavaScript/TypeScript (npm i scavio) SDKs, a remote MCP server at mcp.scavio.dev for AI agents, and an n8n community node. Any language can call the REST endpoints directly with an HTTP client.
Is scraping Home Depot data legal?
+
Scavio returns publicly available listing data and does not access private account data or authenticate as a user. You remain responsible for how you use the data, including compliance with Home Depot's terms. Talk to your own counsel for your specific use case.
