For Sephora prices, shades and ratings inside an app, a price tracker or an AI agent, start with Scavio's Sephora API. One call to POST /api/v1/sephora/product returns every shade and size of a product as its own sku with price, list and sale price, stock flags and full ingredients, along with the rating, review count and Sephora's summary of what reviewers like and dislike. Search and category listings return 60 products a page. Every call is 1 credit, and Scavio starts from $2 per 1,000 requests on the Growth plan billed yearly.
You need a third-party API because Sephora does not publish one. Its developer portal serves Sephora's own engineering teams and approved partners, and there is no self-serve key for reading the public catalogue, a competitor's price or a product's shades.
We build Scavio, so read this with that bias in mind. Every Scavio number below comes from live calls we made on November 2, 2026. Every competitor detail was read off the vendor's own page or listing that day, and where a detail was not published we say so. The screenshots are each vendor's own Sephora page, captured the same day.

The listed price is usually the smallest size
A Sephora listing with several sizes shows the bottom of its price range, and the bottom is almost always the smallest bottle. An API that returns one price per product hands you that number and leaves you to guess what it buys. We searched "perfume" and "moisturizer" sorted by best selling, then made one Scavio product call for each of 12 bestsellers with several sizes and divided each size's price by its ounces.
Across all 12, the smallest size cost 1.3 to 2.6 times more per ounce than the largest, with a median of 1.85 times. YSL Libre Eau de Parfum listed at "$38.00 - $225.00" in search, and its price field was $38: the 0.33 oz travel spray, at $115.15 an ounce, against $44.38 an ounce for the 5.07 oz bottle. Sizes do not even price in order. Libre's 3.4 oz bottle was $140 while its 3.04 oz bottle was $185, and the $140 bottle was the only one of its 6 sizes not eligible for pickup or same-day delivery. A price tracker, a value comparison or a "cheapest place to buy" answer built on the listing price compares a travel spray with a full bottle.
1. Scavio: every shade and size priced, with review themes, in one call

Scavio's Sephora API is 3 POST endpoints on sephora.com (US), each 1 credit. Measured on November 2:
- Search: "lipstick" sorted by best selling with ZIP 10001 returned 60 products of 169 in 2.7 s, each with price, list and sale price, price range, rating, review count, extra colours and bestseller, new, exclusive and sponsored flags. With the ZIP, 56 of the 60 were eligible for same-day delivery there.
- Category: "face-serum" returned 60 of 516 products over 9 pages in 3.5 s, with the parent category and breadcrumbs.
- Product: the 12 product calls behind the chart took 1.9 to 6.6 s and returned 2 to 6 skus each, every one with its own price,
in_stock,only_few_left, pickup and same-day flags and ingredients. A MAC lipstick returned 31 shades: 27 at $25 for 0.12 oz and 4 minis at $16 for 0.06 oz. The same call carries the rating, review count, loves count, Sephora's review summary andreview_sentiments, such as Pigment (88 pros) and Dryness (21 cons).
What it does not do: it returns no individual review text, no stock at a particular Sephora store, and only sephora.com (US), so if you need review bodies, store stock or Sephora Canada or France, look at SocialCrawl, Happy Endpoint or Apify. API.SH and Happy Endpoint cost less per call. The benefit is one key and one JSON format for Sephora alongside Amazon, Walmart and Target, plus an MCP server for agents. How to get Sephora product data walks through each call with captured responses.
2. SocialCrawl: review text and in-store availability

SocialCrawl lists 11 Sephora endpoints: product, reviews, search, search suggestions, category, categories, category data, brands, brand products, stores and availability, the last returning nearby stores for a sku with an in-stock flag. Product, search, category and availability calls cost 5 credits and reviews 5 to 9; the lookup endpoints cost 1. Its pricing is in pounds: 100 free credits, then £15 for 2,500, £49 for 20,000 or £299 for 150,000, so a product call costs about £10 to £30 per 1,000. Choose it when review bodies or store stock matter more than price per call.
3. API.SH: the same job for less per call

API.SH reads sephora.com (US) with search, category or brand listings, a product route that returns every shade or size with price and stock, ingredients and a review sentiment summary, and a reviews route with reviewer traits such as skin tone, skin type and age range. Every call is 1 credit: $1 per 1,000 on monthly plans, $2 per 1,000 pay as you go, a $50-a-month Starter plan for 50,000 credits, and 1,000 free credits a month, with failed calls free. It is cheaper per call than Scavio and adds review text; choose it if Sephora is the only retailer you need.
4. Happy Endpoint on RapidAPI: three countries and store stock

The Real-Time Sephora API from Happy Endpoint covers Sephora in the US, Canada and France, with keyword, category and brand search, product details, product reviews, per-store availability and a store list. Its RapidAPI plans are 250 free requests a month, then $5.99 for 5,500, $29.99 for 35,000 and $74.99 for 100,000 (about $0.75 per 1,000), with overage from $0.002 to $0.05 a request; the Pro plan excludes the EU data. Its public pages do not list response field names, so test a product call before you build on it.
5. Apify actors: scheduled exports across 29 countries

The most-used Sephora actor on the Apify Store, autofacts/sephora, has 478 users and reads product or category URLs from 29 Sephora country sites, returning every variant with price, stock, shade, size, ingredients, rating and review count. It charges per product saved: $6.00 per 1,000 on Apify's free plan, $5.50 on Bronze, $5.00 on Silver and $4.50 on Gold and above. Reviews come from separate actors such as automation-lab's Sephora Product Reviews Scraper, about 4 cents per 1,000 reviews on the free plan. Actors run as jobs that write to a dataset, which suits scheduled exports more than a request inside an app, and each is maintained by its author.
6. Bright Data: records by the thousand
Bright Data's Sephora Scraper API has collectors for products (by URL or by sitemap), product images and reviews with star ratings and review text. It costs $1.50 per 1,000 records pay as you go, or $499 a month for 384,000 records with more at $1.30 per 1,000, and every account gets 5,000 free records a month. Because it bills per record, a 60-product category page is 60 records. Choose it when the deliverable is a large file rather than an answer inside a request. Our headless capture of its page was covered by a cookie dialog, so there is no screenshot here.
Retailed also lists a Sephora Product API, on credit plans from $49 a month without a published per-call cost, and API Dojo publishes a Sephora API on RapidAPI; check what each returns for a product with several sizes before you compare.
Pick by the number you need
If your users act on what a specific shade or size costs, whether it is in stock and whether it is on sale, keeping those prices current is the ongoing work, and it is what Scavio's Sephora API handles. Tracking 2,000 products once a day is 2,000 product calls: 60,000 credits a month, about $120 at the Growth-yearly rate of $2 per 1,000 credits, and each call prices every sku, so at the 2 to 6 skus we saw per product that covers roughly 4,000 to 12,000 prices a day. Watching whole categories for sale flags and rank changes instead is cheaper: a 60-product page is 1 credit, so the 516 face serums take 9 calls. Try the Sephora API free, 50 credits, no card, or run the endpoints in the playground.

Frequently asked questions
Does Sephora have a public API?
No. Sephora does not offer a public, self-serve API for product, price or review data. Its developer portal at developer.sephora.com serves Sephora's own teams and approved partners. To read sephora.com prices, shades and ratings with one key, use a third-party API such as Scavio's Sephora API, which returns search, category and product data as JSON.
How do I check product availability at Sephora through an API?
For online stock, Scavio's product endpoint returns in_stock and only_few_left for every shade and size, plus whether each one is eligible for pickup and same-day delivery. For stock at a particular Sephora store, SocialCrawl's availability endpoint and Happy Endpoint's product-availability endpoint return nearby stores with an in-stock flag; Scavio does not return per-store stock.
Which Sephora API returns review text?
SocialCrawl's reviews endpoint returns review text and star ratings 10 per page by default, API.SH has a reviews route with reviewer traits such as skin tone and age range, Happy Endpoint lists product reviews, and Bright Data and several Apify actors scrape reviews in bulk. Scavio returns the rating, review count, Sephora's review summary and pro and con themes with counts, but not individual reviews.
What is the cheapest Sephora API?
Per request, Happy Endpoint on RapidAPI: its Mega plan is $74.99 a month for 100,000 requests, about $0.75 per 1,000. API.SH charges $1 per 1,000 calls on monthly plans and Bright Data $1.50 per 1,000 records. Scavio is $2 per 1,000 calls on its Growth plan billed yearly, and Apify's most-used Sephora actor costs $4.50 to $6.00 per 1,000 products.
Why does a Sephora search result show a lower price than the product page?
Because a listing with several sizes shows the bottom of its price range, and the cheapest size is usually the smallest. On November 2, 2026 YSL Libre Eau de Parfum listed at $38, the 0.33 oz travel spray, while its 5.07 oz bottle was $225. Read each size's price from the product's skus to compare like with like.
